I think with Kelley's history, the outlook is not good, which is a shame. He seems like a genuinely likeable guy.

but there will come a time that the Nats want to get his money off the books (assuming this is the end of the line),

that time is long past

At this point , when and if he gets off the DL, he should spend 30 days in "Cuse to see if he can finish the year on the 25  man or just be DFA'd

Isn't there still a bunch of un-signed pitchers? Sign them. Problem solved (minus the burning apocalypse offense).

All of these call ups from Syracuse and the baseball scrapheap remind me of the days when Jim Bowden was General Manager

Last few years: "Nats are OK to trade most of their prospects for impact players, they're good trades and we can win now."

This offseason: "Nats need to trade their prospects for [Realmoto, other players]!"

April, 2018: "Why do all our prospects suck? Come on, Rizzo! You suck!"

Who are these impact players you speak of

Collins and Adams on merit should have been on the 25 coming out of spring training. But because of lack of options and guaranteed money they took two sway back horses in the form of Solis and Grace along with Cole who was never was a horse.
It will help now that Adams is up and Cole won't be in the pen much less start but I hope Benoit never come off the DL
Yea.  Adams.  He did this same thing last year.  Couldn't come near the strike zone.  Just release him please.

Adams was pitching very well at Syracuse when he was called up. A good coach could straighten his control issue

Same exact thing happened last year; he obviously chokes on the big stage.  Can't have stage fright in the big leagues.

Austin L. Adams has now faced 36 batters in the big leagues. He has either walked or hit 12 of them.

Right-handed Austin Voth, off to a strong start with Syracuse’s rotation, has been promoted to the majors for the first time. No announcement yet but it appears Austin L. Adams is being sent down.

If Adams can control his emotions or nerves he will be a monster on the mound.........probably will happen in another organization as history with other players with this ball club dictates.......but right now Adams is so far from the problem with this club it is unfathomable. .......I start with Mr. Untouchable face of the franchise then look to Mr. 400 million dollar hair club

It’s not about his nerves or emotions and it never has been. High strikeout rate and a ton of walks. That’s who he is, all the way back to college ball.  He’s not going to be a monster unless he learns how to make the ball consistently go where he wants it to.
