2020. Next year will be the Central. We played the West last year. I'm hoping the Nats play in Minnesota. I'd love an excuse to visit the Twin Cities and their new place.

Target Field is fantastic. And I love Minneapolis.

MDS lives there.   We all ought to all go crash at his house.     :couch:

Counting down to post by MDS bragging about his massive house with a basketball court and insane salary even for MN.

this "race" is getting the feel of watching 3 walruses in a sprint, only we are acting like the slowest, fattest walrus that's just a couple of yards behind the younger, slow, fat walruses.

We should trade for Bartolo Colon at the deadline to complete the picture...

For the first time this year after yesterdays game I feel like the Nats will not be in the playoffs. When you're this bad for this long something is just not working. The problem is it was easy and enjoyable to watch the Nats before 2012 when there were no expectations of the playoffs. Now when there were expectations of great things to come this year it will be hard to dial it back and just enjoy the games.

the idea that going back to the pre-2012 days is a preferable to having a team with expectations. Maybe that's not what SenatorsWin is saying, but that's how it read to me.

My best memories going to games are probably at RFK. I certainly enjoyed those games more than the tail end of losing seasons post 2012

I took it more at face value.  In 2009, we could be 25 games below .500 and I would watch the next game intently and feel good if we won.  Doesn't mean I wish it was 2009 again.

I would prefer the pre-2012 days where it looked like we were building to something, over the current days of knowing your team is going to choke in the big games.
