Seattle is starting to come back to earth, although I would not be surprised to see them go in on a wild card spot. They seem to have gotten all the wins in the 1-run games that the Nats were not getting.

Braves losing, hopefully we'll only be 5 back after tonight.

Are the Barves playing a triple header?

Sorry, meant we could be 6.5 back if the Braves lose, I was looking at the WC games back column and saw 5.5.

FWIW, the Brewers have added a run so far in the 8th, up 5-2 with 1 outs and a runner on 2nd.  If they win, it would be the 3rd straight loss for Atlanta.  (Philly is off tonight).

You mean like the fact that Juan Soto is hitting over .300?  :poke:  :)

7-2 Brewers in the 8th.  Looks like we pick up a game.

Three-time PED cheater Jenrry Mejia had his suspension lifted and is cleared to rejoin the Mets next season.

The Philtihies have won 5 in a row and have 10 games left before the break, all against either Pittsburgh, NYM, Baltimore and Miami.

If we pass Atlanta we can get in as a wild card.  Still a lot of baseball to play, just have to build on the last two games.

If we pass Atlanta, we win the division

Maybe; unless the Phillies have a better record.

The separation between 1st and 3rd right now is 5 games. It just depends on what you believe.

Baseball is all about 162 games, and the odds and numbers.

Both Atlanta and Philly have won twice as many 1 run games than they have lost. Our Nationals have lost almost as many 1 run games as they have won.

Odds are that teams over 162 will be .500 in one run games.

I don't blame any of you for losing faith in this team after that horrible June.

If we can get to within 3 by the ASB, we got a shot. I mean at some point the Braves will hit a cold streak, it happens to every team every year. And we still have, what, nine games left against them? Majority at home?

At the time of this post, Seattle was in the middle of an 8-game winning streak and had just recently wrapped up a 19-9 June.

Not that it matters anyhow since they're not in the NL, let alone NL East.

When will the NL East play the AL West again, and are the Nats going to play in Seattle or will it just be Seattle in our Park?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, my outlaws live in Puyallup.    Might have to go for a visit.     My guess is we play 'em again next year.    AL East this year and AL Central last year.

That would be awesome if we play them there...depending on when...we have a trip to Hawaii penciled in for next June and have wanted to go to Seattle...would be a perfect way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone...
