Of course the Forrestal happened, as did the Keating 5, as did his toadying up to the confederate flag in SC during the primaries.  I don't worship the guy.  But there's no McCain Feingold without the Keating 5, and he doesn't sponsor some serious GHG legislation in the aughts if it weren't for him being willing to change when facts don't go his way.  That's really all I want from a pol.

For me, it's not about "worship".    It's about respect.    I can't imagine one day of what he went through in Hanoi.    He was a self-admitted flawed man.   I simply find it comical that others would judge the man.    We find it easy to find the flaws in others.    I hope the rest of our flaws aren't examined in such detail.    I'll be at the Capitol to pay my respects.

The fact that the headline describes him as "Boogie Nights Actor" is an abomination.

The only thing I watched that he did ... and I enjoyed  ...  was Evening Shade.    Great ensemble cast as well.

Oh but I do.

I know this is difficult for yunz but some folks don't like dave Martinez.     Some folks don't like Dusty Baker.    Some folks don't like Aykroyd and Belushi.     Some folks don't like Bert Reynolds.    Different strokes for different folks.

BTW, I like Dusty Baker and he was a Barve and Dodger.

I can't stand Aykroyd, so overrated, so I totally get it.  You just don't like Burt because he was a Seminole ;)
