August 4th?
There is a scenario where I can't make the 4th though.
Those are just my season ticket plan picks. I typically go to about 5 or so more games, including August 4th types. There is a scenario where I can't make the 4th though. We're trying to do a backpacking/fishing trip to Wyoming and if we can't start the 11th we'll have to start the 4th. Hopefully it won't come to that.
You have more balls than me. I'm an avid flyfisherman and during our trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone last Spring, I didn't have the balls to hit the river. Seeing the grizzlies from the car in Grand Teton early in the trip scared the crap out of me. I will enjoy the Rainbows, Browns and Cuttbows here in Colorado for the time being. Good for you!
While there are a handful of grizzlies in the Winds, they are few and far between. Black bears would be more of a menace for their ability to climb and steal your food, but except for 1 or 2 nights we're going to be above the treeline where few bears go, except perhaps to find berries. Another thing about grizzlies - they are highly concentrated where they exist in Yellowstone, and presumably the Tetons. Last weekend in researching food storage requirements I found "Fatality of Mr. Lance Crosby from a bear attack on Elephant Back Mountain in Yellowstone National Park on August 6, 2015", along with all the other reports prepared by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee. The report is fascinating - in particular I call your attention to page 11 where every grizzly bear sighting for a 7 month period is plotted against a map of the park. The sightings are very condensed, though one can't dismiss that where people are is where sightings are going to be reported. There's a comparable black bear sightings page.http://igbconline.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/150806_BOR_Report_Crosby_GYE.pdf
Opening day in just 3 more days - who's up for a Loft session?
Can someone buy JCA a beer for me (or two) ? I'll send you the money.
I'll buy JCA a beer and you don't have to send me money. It probably wouldn't be the correct amount anyhow.I'll be there with my baseball wife.
A reminder to all you opening day beer drinkers out there, the Loft gets packed and because they limit you to 2 beers per purchase, it can make recycling slow. Amateur hour.
So why not get a 25oz beer from on of the craft beer stands and take it with you up to the Loft ?
I have tickets to Sunday's game and if somebody would be kind enough to identify who...or whom.....moved a day game to 8 pm on what is forecast to be one of the coldest days of this miserable spring weather; I would be kind enough to ring that individuals neck
