Not like you can turn on the radio broadcast.

I saw one guy shot a 92. I believe the hockey referee shot an 83.  Not bad considering he can't see.

FIFY

For the most part, golf doesn't need play by play.   The graphics pretty much tell me everything I want to know.

Glad to see Jimmy Furyk T15.  I haven't seen his ass on TV in quite a while.  That's the same place I'm at in my golf pool after being tied for 165th this morning.

Spieth craps in his hat and bogeys the last two holes to miss the cut by one stroke.

He's tied for 7th now; just 3 strokes back.

I didn’t watch until after soccer was over, but this was a crapshow. And I’m surprised they didn’t DQ Phil.

I like there US opens where they struggle to make pars; more fun than guys making birdies and driving every par five in two shots.

My understanding is that it's a two stroke penalty but they have an option to DQ him.  Probably should have but he has no chance in the tournament anyway.  Let him go out there tomorrow and get booed.

Fowler shot an 84--three double bogeys and one triple.  That's my usual front nine!

I actually wonder what I would have shot on that course. Or if I would have had to quit early because all my clubs were in the lake or the woods.

If I could ever get near the green and then kept putting it and have it roll off on either end, I would just be picking up the ball.

Agreed. That being said I love this. I have many times been on the course and just said “F—- it and done something like this (or exactly this).  But I’m not in the US Open. The fact that he did it just makes him more human though...

I'm not a Phil fan so I'm biased the other way.     He's so pompous.      Imagine if Tiger or some lower level guy had done that.

I heard Azinger yesterday defending the course.  It probably just rained less this week than expected also.  He mentioned a couple of other US Opens with the winner at plus 7.  I guess the guys who went out early yesterday had an advantage over the leaders before the course hardened.  Other than that it's the same for everybody--just stop whining and play.

I hope he shoots a 65 today and gets back in contention--just to irritate you!

It's an outdoor sport.   Put on their big boy panties and deal with it.    If it ain't perfectly manicured, the dickweeds can't cope.   Sniff, sniff, "Oh my, the wind's blowin'."       It's tantrums like Mickelson's that give golf a bad name.   Ya go out and play.   They got all these freakin' rules (that I don't follow on occasion) and some pompous California boy decides to have a tantrum/meltdown and the USGA doesn't have the 'nads to sit him down.    As I mentioned in a previous post  ....  anybody other than one of the golden boys, he'd be gone.    Takes golf down to the level of (fill in the blank with your least favorite sport).    :)    I've seen guys on the local public course get banned for less.

I go to my motorcycle mantra, "If you want all the comforts of home, stay there."

BTW   Happy Father's Day to you too.    Good to see the kids wised up and threw your sorry a** out.    :old:

Thanks--in the 90s here but think I will go out and get nine holes in this evening.  Doesn't get dark here until after 9 so that's nice.  I will complain about the conditions also but no one will listen.

You're pretty close to the Central line.    I remember visiting my niece in the Detroit area and it stayed light longer than on the eastern fringes of the time zone.    Hit 'em straight   ....  my old man used to say, "Keep it in the short crap."    :)

Does he irritate you?    :poke:      I'm not surprised.    He's always been a sort of odd duck.

I hadn't really thought of him much.  He hasn't done well in recent years methinks.  Probably his pink shirts.
