It seems they would have been better leaving Gio in rather than Max as hard as it is to say that. I am baffled at not using Roark instead.  Then you use Max late in the game for a batter or two.

If you burn max and Roark you don’t have a starter for game 1 at LA

Ray's not a happy man

I can't watch, please tell me he's questioning why dusty kept playing Werth? Or what the hell max was sent out to pitch??

So what. You activate Cole. You can reset the squad each series.

Yes you do. You can change the roster between series. You drop Romero, add Cole, and let him start game 1.

You don’t want cole on the roster for a seven game series.  Who do you take off the roster?

Just explaining why planning to use Roark and scherzer was a mistake.

We had plenty of chances to win this. Not using Roark isn’t the reason we lost.

I think it was a major reason. Could have done better than give up 5 runs in one inning. Of course Max had help.

Considering both Gio and Max crap the bed and Roark could have eaten some of the innings of both of those two pitchers, not using Roark very well could be the poignant reason why the Nats lost tonight.

Maybe.  It lots of what ifs. Like what if the ump saw the bat hit wieters.

freak Dusty. He had no business being in the game. And freak Werth for not catching those balls. And freak Wieters for being Wieters.

freak Scherzer...choking dog...

1-2-3 inning if Werth catches an easy popup to shallow LF.

VARK has a hate boner for Scherzer.  You'll never convince him this wasn't all Scherzer's fault.

Don't lose if Max doesn't face 7 batters with 2 outs and hit a batter.

I remember when I first joined this board the last game of the season everyone was all "had a great time watching this season with you, looking forward to next year already!" We were so upbeat when we sucked, now we're "good" and so sad :(  anyway thanks for watching baseball with me for another season guys, so wish this year would've been the year :(

How many fielding mistakes were a part of that?  I mean, Wieters alone - freak.

Not saying Max didn't have a part in this, but he's part of a long list of people who boned the team tonight.
