Blackmon went 1-4, dropping him to .3259, compared to the ailing Harper at .3258. What an incredibly inopportune time to catch flu like symptoms.
Irrelevant if he can't get the minimum PAs.
He can win without getting to 502. There's a rule that says if he would have won by going 0 for whatever the number of PAs needed, then he wins the batting title.
. He needs those PA's. It would be helpful if he walked in all of them.
What's more important: Harper winning the batting title or Harper being at his best when the playoffs start. Walking alot isn't going to help him get ready.
If he had a 1.000 OBP in the playoffs, I don't think I'd mind really.
You'd be happy if he walked every time up? Isn't that why we got swept in the four game series in Chicago in 2016.
can't believe people give a crap about this
