Author Topic: Angel Hernandez? Really... stop being a clown. (Read 2293 times)

People wear wristbands to show their opposition to things like cancer, HIV, wars, environmental destruction, etc. Now we can add "verbal attacks on MLB umpires." Hmm, one of these things is not like the other.

For all the talk about people being snowflakes and needing safe spaces in today's society, the most comically hypersensitive group is clearly the MLB umpire. I feel sorry for anyone responsible for giving psychological therapy to these manchildren because it has to be one of the most tedious jobs in the world.

The wristband stunt is over. MLB notified the umpires association in writing that they would be fined if it continued.

A lot of times, you get an ump with a bigger/smaller but consistent strike zone. That Angel Hernandez game was a mess. Looked like anything close was a coin flip.

His lawsuit was dismissed by the Court of Appeals. That POS shouldn't be a MLB umpire. He would be good for the independent leagues.

4 of those blown calls were Nats. 2 missed strikes to Gore, 1 to Weems, and a 4th miss.

At this point it feels like they just keep him around as an example of incredibly bad umpiring.

The same thing is on Twitter, but I can't find anything more sober" than "multiple sources confirm", and they say it happened last Friday.

I'm not so sure. Cannot find anything official. The MLBUA is the union for umpires. Its website says nothing about Hernandez being expelled from the Association or being fired by MLB.
