Cycling in 2017

Seeing MDS posting again leads me to ask - so you riding the fat tire bike this winter?

Also, what do you think of Framed bikes?  There's a carbon road bike that got a favorable review at Velonews.  Rodez.

Dealing with an internal injury so I haven't been on the bike in almost two months.

Framed fat bikes are really nice for the price and they really stand behind their products, well at least they do with the locals.  No idea what their road bikes are like but that one is pretty nice, though I don't like SRAM at all.

Has anyone tried the Coros helmet? I like the idea of a podcast as background without actually putting anything in my ear

Just get a Boombot Rex and a mount.  If people don't like me blasting Motorhead at Donnington in '87 they can suck my azz.  I tried a setup similar to that and it was just the worst of all worlds.

When some high school friends and I tried* riding across the country, we had a serious boombox on the back of one of our bikes...we played 'Ride of the Valkyries' as we entered Mount Storm, WV on a Sunday just as church was letting out.  It was classic.

Far from it...they let us camp and then some dude sent us off with like 50 pounds of produce from his garden (not the most welcome thing when riding in the mountains, but a nice gesture all the same).

I'd be more worried about banjo music.

I've been hanging out with my nephew's 2 year old and watching a lot of cat videos.  Why is it when I saw this my first thought was about maybe a kitty going on the course behind  Sep VanMarcke?

Cleared to get back to riding after a three month hiatus due to a number of unfortunate injuries.  Hopefully the hip can handle abusing the Capital Bikeshare for about 50 miles next week.

some fantastic pro races this year.  Last stage of Paris-Nice and today's 3 man sprint in Milan-San Remo.

pretty cool article in velonews on Andy Hampsten win in the Giro.  Focus is not just on the stage over the Gaviria pass, where he built his lead in a snowfall, but also on the 19th stage, where he almost lost the race in a long range attack by the guy in 3d place.

In many ways the Giro is my favourite grand tour.  For one thing, there's always a crapload of snow in the high passes...the Stelvio is usually a trench.

Giro's on BeIn, no?  If not, I'm going all freaking berserker on DirecTV.
