He's just proving that he's dishonest.
Something to be said about having an in house average starting SS for cheap who handles the 8 spot rather well (lots of RBI,HR,HBP,BB easy to bunt over, etc). Put your money in getting good hitters in the corners (and 2b) who bat at more important spots in the order.Short stops touch the ball an awful lot every game. Not just fielding batted balls, but making quick decisions as the relay guy and turning DPs. How many times has he thrown out a runner by a quarter of a step that someone else doesn't get?Turner has better tools to be a CF. He's hitting well in that position. Nats brass doesn't project him as a SS, and I trust their judgement.
I simply want Espinosa's bat to touch the ball.
Give up, old man...

But all those stats don't do a good job of valuing plus defense at a postion because defensive stats are generally fluff.
Happy now?
Danny's also "worth" -10.8 WAR for batting, or 18 out of 23. Zach Cozart is 17th and is "worth" -5.7. Seager is worth 35.2. 12 guys at least at 0.0 or higher. Danny sucks.
time to bump that offensive performances thread
And yet, he doesn't . . .
Slate and the others suffer from the syndrome that Pearl Jam sang about in their song Better Man.
Against Thor? Did we expect them to really be better?
I wish I could understand a Pearl Jam reference.
I did. But then I'm a Nats fans, unlike most of you people who just want to jump on a bandwagon because Baltimore is too far away for you.
Rusty also thinks Danny "ignites" the team.
