He's just proving that he's dishonest.
Except I included it. Again, over half the teams in baseball can't find a better short stop than Danny Espinosa

Something to be said about having an in house average starting SS for cheap who handles the 8 spot rather well (lots of RBI,HR,HBP,BB easy to bunt over, etc).  Put your money in getting good hitters in the corners (and 2b) who bat at more important spots in the order.

Short stops touch the ball an awful lot every game.   Not just fielding batted balls, but making quick decisions as the relay guy and turning DPs.   How many times has he thrown out a runner by a quarter of a step that someone else doesn't get?

Turner has better tools to be a CF.  He's hitting well in that position.   Nats brass doesn't project him as a SS, and I trust their judgement.

I simply want Espinosa's bat to touch the ball.

Also WAR accounts well for adjusting for defensive position.  But all those stats don't do a good job of valuing plus defense at a postion because defensive stats are generally fluff.

You forgot that the Nats are not impressed/happy with Revere also.  Meaning to have Espi and Turner both on the field at the same time is their answer.

Slate and the others suffer from the syndrome that Pearl Jam sang about in their song Better Man.

Danny's also "worth" -10.8 WAR for batting, or 18 out of 23. Zach Cozart is 17th and is "worth" -5.7. Seager is worth 35.2. 12 guys at least at 0.0 or higher. Danny sucks.

I did. But then I'm a Nats fans, unlike most of you people who just want to jump  on a bandwagon because Baltimore is too far away for  you.

Agreed. I understand when it's against so no-name with an ERA of over 8, but this is one of the better pitchers in the league we're up against.

Rusty also thinks Danny "ignites" the team.
