I was joking about the STD. Apparenltly it's blood clots in the bladder

A urinary tract infection can, and often is, an STD.

Now the speculation will be just how he got the infection.
bladder clots and blood in urine could be some sort of urinary tract cancer/  glad it may have just been an infection.

Andrew Miller out with a chipped bone in his right (throwing) wrist after taking a comebacker off of it today.  With Chapman out for 30 games to open the season, that's a huge loss for the Yankees.

it is his non-throwing wrist. timetable is TBA. if he's gone for a while, huge, but smoltz had the same thing happen once and made his next start. we'll see. hope he is ok

Haha Baltimore:  http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/03/hyun-soo-kims-agency-says-he-wont-accept-minors-assignment.html

Isn't it a choice between him or the Rule 5 pick, Joey Rickard? Didn't Kang struggle in Spring Training?

I think he did but does any other free agent signing get treated that way if to have a bad apring. Orioles treated him badly so he would go back to Korea on his own or accept the minor league assignment. Glad he stood up to Angelos and his stooges?  Hope the Rule 5 guy starts poorly so they look really stupid.

Red Sox lead the majors in one category already - most money on bench / paying other teams / in minors with MLB guarantees.  $48MM.  Panda, Castillo, Craig (in the minors) is about $38MM of it. Hannigan and Young are also non-regulars making some money.  This does not even count Porcello's contract because he is the 4th starter.  NExt closest is the Angels at about $31MM, most of the owed to Josh Hamilton.  Indians are surprisingly high, too (Swisher, Bourn and others).  As a % of payroll, boht the Indians and the Rays (Loney) have more bench money. Per Alex Speier at Boston.com.

In the Nationals game, Suzuki chickened out going home and F.P. said "You don't want a play at the plate at the end of spring training." This would be why.
