Did anyone see that fly over before the game started with the P-51 and the (I think) F-35? So weird and awesome...

Bob said it was an F22...it was neat...

The original was so much better. So much less over-the-top.
I was just watching a snippet of "The Taking of Pelham 123", which I've never seen before, and it was truly awful. In the span of two minutes Travolta tried and failed miserable at seeming scary and tough, shot a guy, then a mouse climbed up a sniper's leg causing him to misfire and hit a random train hostage.

Sadly, it's almost a perfect metaphor for the Nats season.

Yep. That's a lot more likely. I mean, the F-35 isn't really flying much yet, is it.

So do you all think Scherzer would take a buy out and get out of DC.

:idiot:

Thanks for the positive response - he is not worth 200 million if he is going to win 12-13 games and lose 12-13 games a year

I don't care how boss Scherzer was at some point during the season. What he has given us since renders his season a failure.

No crap but how stupid is it to even consider that he would take a buyout.

FP, what are the chances they score 2 runs against Fernandez?  That means, "that one pitch" ended the competitive portion of the game.

It's always "one pitch" with him...and Williams...

Desmond has never gotten a hit against Fernandez and he almost always strikes out against him...and he's starting tonight.

Robinson got a look in the majors and made himself some money. not saying he is getting a big contract but I believe he ha ensured that he will stay at the major league level for a couple of seasons at least.

He's a  rookie.  He won't even be eligible for arbitration for three years.

but making the league minimum at this level is much more than he would've made languishing in the minors which would eventually phase him out of baseball.

One thing this team needs next season is a better left-right balance.
