Every time I start to feel bad about him getting the ax I think of that facial expression and I feel content again.  Now if only they'll stop the Ev-ree-bah-dee-clap-ya-hands and NOISE NOISE LOUDER crap, they might actually have something that feels authentic and less like the fans should be wearing fluffy white onesies and being led by border collies.

Did Terence get the ax or did he quit?

I like Terence and don't have a problem with organized cheering. I don't naturally cheer because I'm so into the game but I don't mind being reminded.

If people want to cheer, that's fine. If they don't want to cheer, that's fine too. I don't care how people enjoy the game as long as they don't bother other fans. (The wave comes close to doing that.)

This reminds me of something I noticed this season that I thought was really weird.  Why do they never show replays on the jumbotron?  Is it an MLB-wide thing, or only at Nats Park?

They show some replays but other parks do a better job, imo. Also, the scoreboard seems to get hung up a lot, with the wrong player's stats up, etc.

Gee, 7th inning during first game at Wrigley of the NLCS and Cub fans are sitting on their hands waiting for something to happen, while the Mets plate two more runs. Guess it is all their fault. If only they were standing up the whole time cheering relentlessly for no reason.

I see that trading away Clippard has worked out well....for the Mets .... and not so much for the Nats....great decision, Rizzo...trade away a solid performer for Pabelbum, who chokes on the mound and chokes his teammates...

Clippard has been a solid, solid eighth inning guy for the Mets. Something they've really needed.  And so far, he hasn't choked anyone, much less David Wright or Yoenis Cespedes.

Of course, the postseason is still young.

When the Cubs get swept tonight I hope Wrigleyville burns to the ground.

Before the all star break, both teams had good starting pitchers. Both teams had holes in their offense and bullpen that needed to be addressed. The Mets made the moves that Rizzo failed to make. Instead of moving aggressively based upon the current situation, Rizzo foolishly believed that all the answers were on the DL. The Mets did what they needed to do. Rizzo failed. Standard results.

This thread stinks and it's my fault for not locking it sooner.
