I live in NY and can't go to many games... so GFY.  When I do come back home for a game I stay, if only because I paid a freak ton just to get down there.

At this time, I suggest folks who are getting trolled not take Grizzly's posts seriously.  Just like the thread started with humor about the Nats player's statements blaming the fans, grizzly has been getting kicks out of everyone flummoxed by his take on Nats fandom.  It is performance art.

fair-weather fans like you
Oh, great! Another member of the fan police! You post like one of those dumbass fans that was against acquiring Papelbon because it'd hurt Drew's feelings.

I aspire to having the worst fanbase in baseball. But that's going to be a nag of a struggle in our division.

It's a game, and that game was tied. Leave early because the MIGHT lose?  Put it in perspective.

So, we need to be emotionally invested, but not take anything personally. Got it. For the record, you seem to be the one making the assumption that people are taking things overly personally. This thread was clearly a sarcastic jab at Bryce's ridiculous notion that somehow some fans leaving miserable game was somehow worth noting as a having a relationship to the outcome. Regardless, those of us who are emotionally invested certainly should call the team out when they deserve it. It doesn't mean there is a lack of perspective.

But that seems to be lost on you a bit as well with the emotional immaturity comment. You don't get it. It is great to stay to the end of games. Those are some of the best situations. I hate leaving early because you don't know what you may miss. But when a game is a horrible and miserable experience, staying until the end is less meaningful. In those situations, if one asks oneself whether they would be the least bit disappointed if they miss a walk off win, and the answer is a clear no, what's the point. It has nothing to do with not being able to handle a loss. It has to do with what is important. And for emotionally mature people, getting their kids from the babysitter becomes more important than seeing the end of a game that, even if won, would have been completely unsatisfying given how miserable the experience is. People who love baseball, don't like sitting through bad baseball unnecessarily.

Honestly, would anyone be surprised if that poster was someone closely associated with the Nats? I sure wouldn't.

They've gotten the tried and true method of blaming everyone but the players down pat.

Phil Wood was spinning bullcrap on the radio when I was going to pick up my brewed medicine, maybe it's him. Or his awful "hair" which I believe could probably type and weave bullcrap on its own.

That's actually the dictionary definition of "fair weather"...not going out when the weather is bad.

Wow, this has quickly degenerated into the type of fan-bashing trolling we saw back in the early years of the team.

So Cardinal fans  are "fair weather", by definition.

Would somebody please construct a diagram for Grizzly
