Could not have gone more quietly, the heart of a desperate lineup against a disastrous Marlins team.  Shame on you Nationals, from the top to the bottom, management to ushers, you are a crappy organization.  Shame on you National embarrassments.

All time low for this franchise. What a joke. Can't beat the Marlins at home in a must win game with our ace on mound vs a mediocre rookie.

He hasn't been the ace since the last game before the ASB. Pedestrian ever since.

Come on. Desmond's up next inning and I'm sure he'll try to hit the ball 800 feet. Who knows, he might run into one and get lucky...

The concession workers, on the other hand... one person taking orders, filling orders, and ringing in orders, with 10 others standing around...

Even though Casey sucks, I like they brought back Rivero in for a single out. Bullpen pitchers should be fluid, that's literally the nature of the job. It's almost like Matt's learning.

But still, freak him.

You can add the fanbase to that list.

Zimmerman flails at ball 4....story of this Richardhead team...watch strikes, swing at everything outside of the strike zone...all this for millions of dollars a season....baseball players should be paid on current performance, not last year's nor next's...what are you doing NOW??? A base salary of, say, $300,000....you can add to it, or subtract from it...get a walk, collect $500, get a hit, collect $1000, extra base hit, add $500 for each base, get an RBI, collect $1000, strike out, oops, minus $500....watch a called third strike....ka-ching...minus $5000.....swing at a ball in the dirt, minus $2000 (Desmond would be bankrupt by now), successful bunt/fly out/ground out, collect $500....you get the idea....the better you perform, the more you make....the worse you perform, the less you get paid....make money the motivator....but not by giving away tons up front...we could construct something similar for pitchers...

Does the phrase "sentence structure" mean anything to you? You make fair points, but your rambling posts are really tough to read.

sorry, I was trying to avoid creating a chart....just some musings about the baloney we've been watching all season.
My doctor said that he has recommended watching Nats games for his patients suffering from insomnia...after watching just a couple of innings, his patients have easily fallen asleep...soundly...
at a local Home Depot, they have a presentation in which you can either watch paint dry or a Nats re-run....there are far more customers watching paint dry, as it is a much more exciting event than watching this team at bat.

Josh Donaldson hit a bomb that almost landed where Canseco hit one years ago.
