I guess the real question is to look up RZ's RBIs to figure out who he actually drove in. My guess is that Harper will be the number one recipient of that distinction.

Harper's improved plate discipline is why he's having such a monster year.  Take the offered walk, he's scoring gobs of runs

leads NL in AVG, Runs, OBP, SLG, and 2d in HR and BB.  If the Triple crown were runs instead of RBI, then he'd have a good shot.  Maybe we can call Runs, OBP, and SLG a Harper Triple Crown and see if anyone notices.

Zuck:

Add this performance to his previous five, and Harper is now hitting .538 this week with a .720 on-base percentage, 1.951 OPS, two homers, five RBI and 11 walks.

I still think batting Bryce 3rd is a huge mistake.  Over the past 2 weeks how many times has he come up w/ 2 outs nobody on in the first.  The lowest leverage situation possible.  It seems like almost every game.

No kidding.  Now that Desmond is heating up I think you can safely bat him cleanup with Zimmerman third

Well, I've said it before, but Desi's slugging contact-heavy OBP I think are more suited for 3d when he's hot.  I could live with Werth / Harper / Desi / RZ / Rendon or Robinson right now, followed by the other then the catcher.   But, I can be happy with Rendon / RZ / Robinson 3-4-5, too.

If we make the playoffs Harper wins MVP easily. There really is no argument against him except he may not make the playoffs(not that it's his fault, but you know some old guard writers will use that against him).

Would have to say he took back the MVP vote this weekend... starting the weekend on Thursday night like any good man who enjoys a holiday does. Great to see, proud of him.

I need the Nationals to do whatever it takes to lock this guy up for a lifetime contract. I don't ever want to know washington nationals baseball without Bryce Harper

You're pretty critical of him each time he goes 0 for 4, yourself. Or when he makes an out in a big spot. Not sure if it's just part of your troll act or what.

And until this year, he didn't really do big time hot streaks/tears. Save April 2013.

There is no good argument against Harper for MVP. He should get 95% of the vote.

The other guys having great years are either AL (Donaldson, Trout), or on terrible awful horrible teams (Votto, Goldschmidt). I mean, maybe Cespedes? Nah.

Harper is having one of the best seasons ever and no voter is dumb enough to not know that.

Imagine how good he would be if he wasn't the most overrated player in baseball?

MVPs don't strike out 3 times in the biggest game of the season.
