It's just a different style.  Span likes to play CF like a wide receiver -- cruising to the ball.  Taylor prefers to track the ball and then wait for it to come down.  So it's a lot more acceleration and stopping then Span.

Good analysis. To me, Taylor seems to take a lot of bad routes and seems shaky the whole way.

When he's in center, agree. He looks good in left. Good reads, good jumps, good routes.

He's got a 7.1 UZR in left and a 6.1 UZR in center.

Maybe Taylor is just a lot faster?

Thorne is a good announcer. Not overly excited and not boring.

I like Gary.  I thought he and FP had good chemistry together.  Although I think FP could get along well with a brick wall but still.

Well that was a really nice surprise win tonight. Did not think that would happen. No idea where we would be without Espi's play this year (never thought I would write that!). I enjoyed the broadcast tonight also, so much more than the ESPN one the other night, which was just torture...

Glad Scherzer is pitching tomorrow, no need to waste him on an exhibition game...
