Too late to warm up Carpenter now, Matt. Bad non-move.

This bullpen needs a left handed pitcher who can pitch to both lefties and rightes, effectively.

Huh, that was kinda weird :|

Is that the first homer Thornton has given up as a Nat?

Rendon should have had that.

Rendon's range at 2B isn't the greatest.

I don't trust Thornton at all.

Pierzynski and Uribe both former teammates of Thornton in Chicago, may be familiar with him

No but I hate to knock him, he's an excellent third baseman dammit!

Find a left handed reliever, Rizzo and send Thornton packing.

Right after Bob says the bullpen is getting routine outs Thornton implodes.

2 outs, relax. Uribe is gonna ground out.

Like I said about Thornton, there's a reason the Yankees DFA'd him.

Good job David Carpenter  He should be 8th inning guy. Matt misused Thornton.

I can't believe you guys are turning on Thornton so quickly. He's been very good. Probably our best LH in a few years if you don't put a ton of stock into the short playoff series where Blevins pitched his balls off, whereas Blevins was really meh before it, even though I liked him.

I think we should be trying to keep him beyond this season, since his contract ends after this season.

Only the second run he's allowed since May 3rd. He's fine.

Nice job by Carpenter there. He's definitely been better than what I expected, although it is early.

There are several mph off Thornton's fastball.  There's no proper way to use him. If he gets three outs without giving up runs, we're lucky.

pass, no reason to extend him. Several cheaper LH options in the system (Rivero,Solis, etc).

Thornton can be effective if used properly but ideally he is 6th/7th inning option based on LH matchups and nothing more.
