"I'm just swinging hard and hoping I hit it"

Literally everything that is wrong with Ian Desmond in one sentence.

Desmond sounded like he was trying to do a Werth interview.

Werth is more fun during an interview - maybe it's the beard

Kept waiting for Desmond to add a "Dan Kolko" to one of his answers.

Fun fact (well fun if you're kind of a nerd like me):  The use of "Nimrod" as a general insult to someone's intelligence comes from Bugs Bunny.  He calls Elmer Fudd "Nimrod" as a sarcastic reference to the biblical king and great hunter.

In fact, Ali the Baseball Cat has an avatar of a painting of the tower of Babel.  In said painting, Nimrod is depicted in the lower left.
