I agree with everything... except the Mystics. Have we really sunk so low that the WNBA team is the only team worth paying attention to? Even less people care about the WNBA than the regular NBA.
At least the Mystics are winning (13-8, second place and currently in playoff position).
When Daniel Snyder owns one's local NFL franchise, and when the owner of one's local NBA and NHL franchises really isn't much of an improvement (too obsessed with 'gameday experiences', fancy lounges and clubs and other esoterica to worry about the core businesses), and one's local MLB franchise is underachieving horrendously...then I'm afraid, as far as finding local champions/contenders, beggars can't be choosers.
