Mets making moves lowkey brah. Y'all [gentlemen] think we need to acquire another bat at the deadline to get a stronghold on the division? Broski says nah IMO. Werth/Span will come back and set us up very nicely in the outfield. Robinson/Moore/Zimmerman can platoon at 1b. Only weak spot I see barring injury (knock on wood brah) is at Catcher. Ramos really pisses me off, and he's slow which makes it a 1000 times worse. Turner and the Betanator are there to keep the infield in check, only position without competition is catcher. And of course it would be nice to get a reliever or 2...so idk brah. Hopefully Rizzo seduces another GM into making a stupid deal brah. We need Rendon and Harper in the lineup. Gimme them and all the scrubs, and I'll be happy.

OK. On topic, I kind of liked the Uribe / Johnson move for the Mets. Low profile, but I think it gives them a much better fielder at 3d (Uribe) than trotting out Murphy or whoever was horrible last week. Uribe also has a little power, and Johnson can be slotted in, too.

I still don't think any team is adding the bats like we will by the end of the week - Escobar avoiding the DL, Rendon back, Werht crushing it for Syracuse, and RZ getting back soon. Span will play when the back calms down and can probably walk in and hit. Bullpen depth would help, too. I don't know what can be done at catcher. He comes up with Taylor's throw today and it is a different game.

Believe so, yes. It's definitely the end of his Mets career, according to Joel Sherman. They were "furious" the first time and now he's arb. eligible.

Apparently the steroid he took both times is stanozolol, which is one of the really old, really hardcore steroids, that's really easy to detect. It's the stuff Rafael Palmeiro got busted for. Makes me think any team will be leery to take him on for being stupid enough to take the same stuff twice, stuff that is easy to detect no less.
