Any MSBL Players In The House?
« on: January 08, 2015, 02:59:04 pm »
Just curious.  I know we have a "Minty's Do You Still Play" thread out there but I wanted to know in specific if there are any players out there affiliated with the MSBL organization.

Not only do I want to keep discussion going amongst those of us who are still stupid enough to try and play this kids game, but I want to see if anyone might be interested in playing in the tournament in Frederick, MD over Columbus Day weekend.  I'm going to try and get a team from Upstate NY together, but if I can't get enough players to participate then I can supplement from other MSBL leagues to get a roster together.

Any of you out there in the WNFF'sLand?

I was playing in the DC Area's Ponce de Leon league up through the Fall of 2013. Kids, a job and grad school took precedence.

Moved to CT and am now looking for a league. Went to watch some guys play last summer - both teams looked like they were dragging ass and not having fun. It was a 38+ Wood bat league and the pitcher's didn't look great from the stands but were dominating. Makes me think a 38+ league ought to allow aluminum bats....

Looks like CT is pretty sparse in terms of MSBL participation, but there are three in the state:  Simsbury, Pawcatuck and Stamford.  Depends on how close you are to any of those.
