I'm starting to get the feeling that the Redskins might freak up the McCloughan hiring- no announcement yet even though it's been leaked for a while, it seems like it should be official by now (the fact that negotiations are stretching out is where I think they'll screw it up - are they already balking at giving him control or are they just trying to low ball him?)

It's been reported that it's now a done deal. Four year deal, complete control of the 53 man roster.

Press conference was scheduled for tomorrow from what I heard yesterday.

Snyder is a good boy. He would never do that.  :stir:

can you actually come up with a quote complementing snyder, or are you just trolling?

You always seem to stick up for Snyder. Of course you don't actually have to compliment him to defend him. But mostly trolling.

No one else seems interested in him.  And no one else seems interested in the job.  Reminiscent of the Gruden hiring.

Except for the fact that Phillips has had success and proven himself as a good DC in this league. He knows the 3-4 defense as well as anyone.

I thought I heard him say that Allen has been working on him for a year... if that's so, then Allen isn't quite the inept fool that I thought he was.

I heard the new GM say on the radio that he reports to Bruce Allen and not to Danny.
Funny.

GM --> Team President --> Owner. That's what you'd expect. Hopefully McCluen actually has authority or the dumpster fire will just continue.

According to you Snyder has been hands off for years so McCloughan has nothing to worry about.  :stir:

Its been reported it was in Shanny's contract, until I see something saying that was incorrect, I blame shanny for his run. Found a new team yet, waiting for a 50 year old rich guy to die could take some serious time

You always work for your bosses boss. That the way the world works unless you think Danny boy is hands off with Allen.

I think he was just saying it because they were basically asking why he was working for an idiot like Snyder. The honest answer was apparently only dysfunctional franchises were offering him work due to his personal issues and they offered him lots of money.

Of course, if he's sober, no way he ends up here. You may work for your boss' boss, but with a guaranteed multi year deal (like shanny), you don't have to give a damn what they tell you if you dont want to

Ah, I wrongfully assumed he was interviewing for HC based on natsinpwc's reply to you.

He'd actually be a solid hire for DC.

Disagree. You always work for your client.
