Going out for a few days next month and don't know jack about the area. Wouldn't hurt if there are places to eat nearby, but safety and then price are the #1 concerns.
I don't know about hotels but you have to go to In-and-Out Burgers.
I've been informed that LA is a rather large area, so to narrow it down - proximity to Burbank and the Griffith Observatory would be ideal. Not planning on going into "the city".
I've gotta say I couldn't wait to try them and sadly I was unimpressed
Not really. The burgers are mediocre and the fries are some of the worst fries you can get anywhere. But if you happen to see an Umami Burger location, try one and let me know.
This isn't about good vs bad simply you have to go to an In-and-Out Burger at least once in your life. Since they don't use frozen patties, I 'd guess there isn't a standard taste profile and each location must be judged on their own.
Well, if it's never frozen hand formed patties you hunger for, we never pass up Spelunkers in Front Royal when headed back from a day in the great outdoors. Behold the Double Cavern Burger:
Have we ever met? I think once we get together you'll understand there isn't a food I won't eat.
A proper burger always has 2 patties with at least one slice of cheese in between and one slice on top of them.
Ok, i'm a radical, but I prefer burgers w/o american cheese. Swiss is go to, and I like blue, but I'm touch and go on cheddar. Has to be sharp. Basically, anything that blands out the meat, I don't go for (other than swiss),
