I've written before that Rendon reminds me of T. J. Oshie on the Caps.    He may not be the marquee guy but damn he's good.    He is a key part to the puzzle.

His first full season he played over 150 and he has had one year of more than 30 missed games.

weren't most of his injuries broken bones?  If those don't heal right, then there's a long term problem, but if they heal right, they are done.  Just don't tell Nick Johnson.

The only funny thing about that post is where AZ talks about the silly ASG validation when he was so out of his mind clamoring about how Elijah Dukes was going to show everyone how awesome he was by being selected to the ASG and winning the HR derby at yankee stadium. :crackup:

No real details but the Nats are attempting to work out an extension. Rendon is the guy they need to re-sign, much more so than Harper or Turner.

interesting that we're publicly discussing trying to extend Rendon a year before his deal expires, but there was no hurry to try and extend Harper.

What does that tell ya?    Personally, I don't think Harper is as critical to this franchise as Rendon, particularly since Soto is on the scene.
