We need a cultural shift in order to win this game and this series.  We need a veteran to step it up right freaking now.

Seems like a job for Nate Schierholtz.

Disagree.  Completely disagree.  He was squeezed by the ump on the walk.  He was our best option..........by far.

Yep.

Hate to admit it but Hudson seems right.
St. Louis and SF dominate the postseason each year against allegedly superior teams due to their ability to make contact on a regular basis.  We have too many swing and miss guys.

Lineup needs overhauling

Desi and Ramos gone to start.

He was totally right.  Our fanbase just didn't want to believe it, which is fair, but of course this team is going out and proving it right.

Very poetic, but we are still going to win this game.

Giants refuse to lose and the umps have been giving them the strike zone.

He has to pitch at some point and offense isn't showing signs of waking up. We might be here for awhile.

I'd rather wait until we had a lead of some size before going to Roark.  Of course, with this offense...  :?

And for Clippard, the first out is a big one.

Yep.

I think this should sum it up:

The best option in that situation was to let Jordan Zimmermann finish his damn shutout.

The next best option in that situation, possibly by a wide margin, was to let Storen come in to start the inning, WITH THE BASES EMTPY.

The WORST option, by a mile, was to wait until runners were on base and let Drew Storen pitch in the playoffs for the first time since crumbling thanks in part to allowing a few runners to reach base.
