It would, however, it's a business.

I think it would be better to exercise Span's option and keep Taylor in Triple A. When Werth suffers his inevitable injury, we have an option that can come up and hit right away.

No. That makes no sense. He's not going to continue to develop sitting on the bench and getting to the plate once every three games. Send him to Triple AAA and tell him to work on things. McClouth as a bench bat is going to be fine next season.

Screw it.  New commissioner should just mandate the DH in the NL.  Then switch Danny to a righty only and fly with the following:

1.  Taylor - CF
2.  Rendon - 3B
3.  Werth - 1B
4.  Harper - RF
5.  Zimmerman - DH
6.  Desmond - SS
7.  Ramos - C
8.  Souza - LF
9.  Espinosa - 2B

Sure there is only one lefty but screw it, championship.

It's not a serious post.  Werth is going to be in that outfield for the rest of his Nats career due to Zim moving to 1B.  Nats need to figure out what they have to replace Span in the OF with either Taylor, Goodwin or Souza.  2B is an ovbious concern and so is the future at SS if it isn't going to be Desmond.

This year is pretty well figured out, but many questions present themselves as early as this coming offseason.
