Sounds like Matt Williams takes the Sunshine approach to fixing defense.

How the freak is it 3-0 already :?

I turned it on at the 3rd batter and they were talking about two errors happening already.

relax - we are masters of the comeback - we got this

Way to early to bail on this game but god damn is it frustrating to be behind early again.

The Cardinals' offense is not hitting well this season and here are the Nats just handing them 3 free runs.

I bet Wainwright doesn't do the same.

I am beyond sick and tired of FP babying Ian and saying it takes him a while to settle into the groove.  A good ball player shouldn't be allowed crap like he is doing.  It is hurting the team and there needs to be consequences for playing like a little leaguer.

If we extend him, everything will be alright.

The winning move was to start Walters.

Ian Desmond turning down the contract extension :).

Desmond has twice as many errors as many entire teams (like the Orioles :stir: ). He needs to be a given a day off.

While I am sure it is impossible to continue being as bad defensively as he has been it appears he is trying to drive down his extension price.  New way of providing a home town discount?

Quote from: Tom Boswell
Teams like the Nats, after Game 5 and the sickly first 111 games of '13 are in danger of getting a reputation that no team wants -- bad under pressure. You can't avoid it. You have to face it.

It's just too damn difficult to come back from these huge deficits on a nightly basis. Sure we've done it a few times but it's not an advisable strategy. A good pitcher like Adam Wainwright should cruise free and easy tonight with this lead.

Dang it, I was planning on seeing Draft Day tonight, didn't know the times, it's at 7:40 tho.  I can't bail on the nats that early.

The Crapitals had a better chance of coming back from 3-0 against St. Louis than the Nats do.

Why not? This game's over. I was looking forward to watching it, but I just turned it on and I'm already considering alternate plans. Good thing I finally made it to the liquor store today.

Jordan looks good after the early setbacks, his own included.

Desmond's off day should have happened days ago. You know he will sit tomorrow after this but Matt Williams is days late. I don't know what he's doing.

His ass had better be on the bench tomorrow.

The Nats have already bailed on you. Just give it right back.

Don't think my AA sponsor would like me doing the latter of those

I agree he should have sat already, but I mentioned yesterday and still wonder, if that RBI single last night made Williams keep him in the lineup hoping it was the beginning of the old Ian.  Obviously not, at least with the glove.
