That pitch was also outside but he's going to get that call.

Espinosa blew the inning. 2-0 count with 2 on and no out and he was way late on a fastball and flied out weakly.

He's 21 and still the youngest player in Major League Baseball. How much more exciting was Mantle than Harper in April of his age 21 season? Here's a fact: Harper had a better age 20 season.

:lmao:  Stop it with that "he's still the youngest player in MLB". That crap is meaningless. And by what standard was Harper's 2013 better than Mantle's 1952 season?

I'm guessing my source is wrong on the age season. Pretty big oversight for a site like this.

"Routine chance for Peralta.. picks it up and throws it onto first"

Players can do that?

My bad.

Don't worry about it dude. They had comparable rookie seasons (I don't really care what age they were). Mantle kept up his pace and even improved on it. It would take a lot for Harper just to match what Mantle accomplished. But as long as he's wearing the Nationals uniform I wouldn't mind seeing him do it. Once he goes to the yankees though I won't give a crap what he does.

How many pitches did Wainwright throw?
