Does Roark not realize that he's facing Jose Fernandez. He needed to keep the game scoreless.
I'm sure he's not exactly trying to give away runs!

Let's face it. Roark is not very good. He was a career minor league washout until that fluke run at the end of 2013. He belongs in AAA as emergency depth in a worst case scenario.

This I 100% agree with

Why is FP talking about pitchers missing their spot, doesn't he know that it's the catcher's fault for not "calling a good game"?  :stir:

The more games that go by this team looks more and more like the 2013 Nationals team. The last week or so has felt exactly how most of last season felt.

Who was saying they would rather have Roark starting over Strasburg?

Our 4/5 pitchers are pathetic. It doesn't help when our supposed 3 aces get lit up too.

It's not the homeruns, it's the homeruns with runners on.  I'll bet the majority of the homeruns we've given up have been with runners on.

And McCatty/Williams' fault for not having them prepared!

I am not ready to give up on Jordan, Taylor.  He looked, at times, really good and got himself out of jams against the Braves at home.

What's more concerning:

The fact that our starters are getting lit up or the fact our bats are as inconsistent as it gets?

We will see about that.  I think Roark gives us a better chance to win.  Having electric stuff and getting hitters out are two different things.

No one on this team has learned a damn thing from last year and that includes Mike Rizzo.

Pretty pathetic that we are already at this point and it's still mid-April.

A blind squirrel could've hit that.
4th   D Dietrich homered to right, G Jones and C McGehee scored.

Washington Nationals  0
Miami Marlins    3

It makes zero sense to me that we have Detwiler rotting in the pen and two AAAA starters.

And yes I know Roark's numbers are good but anybody with eyes can realize it's not sustainable. He's decent depth.

Well our bats consist of four backups right now

I guess 2013 was the real Nationals and 2012 was a FLUKE.

Osuna, Dietrich, and Yelich own us.

Roark belongs in AAA. Mike Rizzo is sleeping on the job.
