From TalkingChop

Wait, what
Braves won a series? From the A’s? And have a shot at a sweep?

Now if those damned Nats would do us the courtesy of losing a game every now and then.

I'm choosing to take Smoltz's view of it.
Buccos lose, we get a little closer to them.

I would think we'd be better off finishing 2nd in the NL...I'd rather face the Dodgers or Brewers than face the Cards, Pirates or Barves in the NLDS.

I was wondering that too but then I remembered they had the Martina McBride concert last night, must've wanted the extra time to make sure the furled was ready? I actually love thisstart time on a Sunday, have time to do outside stuff and then have a glass of wine while making dinner and watching Nats baseball, Sunday perfection to me :)

Eh, late afternoon starts suck for offense. You have to hope for an early lead.

Me too...means we can leave home at a reasonable time and, more importantly, get home around 10:00pm instead of 1:00am...

Oh?  I haven't the inclination to look this up - is this based on observation or mindfact?

Pure mindfacting and word of mouth from broadcasters.

Giants are a decent shot to come out of there, too. I'll take the best record in the league every time.

You can't go into the postseason afraid of playing certain teams. But if there's one team I do fear it's the dodgers. They're loaded.

The only thing I fear about LA is that they could go up 2-0 because of Kershaw and Greinke. Otherwise, they're overrated.

I thought the only thing to fear is fear itself.

Just line up our rotation accordingly and we should be fine. Fister seems to do the best of all of our guys with the least run support so he should definately go on the day Kershaw pitches. I'd give the ball to JZimm next for Greinke. If its a game we do not expect to score runs in do not pitch Stras or Gio. Especially not Gio.

Giogenesis needs to find a nice piece of pine full of splinters in the bullpen during the playoffs.

The A's aren't looking as invincible lately.  Either that or the Barves are going on another run...
