I was about to rely "freak you", but then I got to the part about free credit monitoring for a year. I guess that helps. What is the monetary value of that? Are they giving me some cut rate bullcrap plan?

Not much.  I'd imagine the cost is less than $15/mo, and they probably got a discount for a bulk buy.  But I guess 15*12*300,000 is a big hit to them in total.

Just enough to have my ssn stolen. They make a point of saying no academic records were stolen. God forbid that happened, then I wouldn't have to send transcripts around when applying for things

As far as my ssn. In reality that crap has probably been stolen daily off the thousands of gov hr, training, and god knows what databases
