Random use of Limbaughism provokes responses
« on: February 05, 2014, 12:43:42 pm »
"Flail like a girl"????  Excuse me?????   In case you hadn't noticed, it's the 21st century, and thanks to decades of Title IX, there are a lot of girls out there who can smoke a lot of boys on a diamond.  How about something at bit more accurate - "flair like a beer leaguer" comes to mind.  Or maybe "flails like someone who thinks NL ball strategy is idiotic"??

Oh Christ... A femi-nazi took something on the interwebs seriously...

Femi-nazi???  Wow - I'm in awe of your originality.  That's so old that I think Rush brought that term out somewhere between his third wife and his second run in with drug authorities.    :glug:

My, my, we seem to have a few twisted knickers here.  If you read the posts carefully, we weren't talking about hitting for power or other skill sets.  The quote in question specifically said NL pitchers get up to bat and "flail like a girl".  That says to me that the poster seems to think that if you put a bat in a girl's hands, she has no idea how to swing or how to make contact with the ball - that she's just up there flailing wildly.  Most girls who have had any exposure to softball or baseball have swings that are no worse and in many cases are technically better than boys.   I was limiting my comments to the poster who seemed to feel that saying "  . . .  like a girl" is perfectly acceptable use as some sort of insult.  It's not.

Actually it was before he was even married, the first time.    (How do I know that? Because I do recall that when he came on the seen he had not yet been married, and he was already using the term.)

Have at it, keep it clean, or else the next destination is uncensored or the recycling trash bin of history.
