Just A Dog ....
« Topic Start: January 25, 2014, 09:41:25 PM »
I sleep with our 2 westies - Pink & Floyd - every night.  Floyd has gotten to the point where he has to put his nose in my armpit.  But I have to admit - I sleep so much better with Floyd hugging me all night long.  So I'd like to know - does anyone else let their pet sleep with them every night ?

Our whippet sleeps under the covers,  but he always tries to work his way up and get his head on a pillow

Don't have any good responses or relevant comments to contribute, but I love the names you gave your dogs.

Also a cool breed of dogs you've got, you should post pictures if you've got them. Pets are the crap.

Hi Slate - Really - we let the dogs sleep with us.  It first became a pattern - I was falling asleep when the dogs laid on my lap every night.  So I tried having the dogs sleep in my arms.  I started sleeping much better every night.  I can't explain it, but the warmth of the dogs bodies put me to sleep.  And the dogs think I'm a saint ...

Really? You let the dogs sleep in the bed with you?

I'm a hygiene nut, so I would never let a pet sleep in my bed.

i like having our cats in our bed at night, my wife doesn't because invariably a piece of litter or dried piece of poop from their butt ends up on the covers.

Completely agree, someone needs to start a "Show your dog's face!" thread pronto!
But to answer Mathguy's question I've got 4 dogs (3 pound puppies, 1 Jack Russell rescue) but only one sleeps with me because I go to bed way late and the other 3 prefer to curl up on their beds by like 10:00, little old  :old:  they are  :mg:

We'll have 3 cats and a dog in bed with us. The cat Greta, gets under the covers and tries to nurse off of my wife's side while kneading  Ivan curls up on my arm and Slim lays between the wife and I. Nikki the dog lays on my wife's feet.

I love the Ally bank commercial with the guy who doesn't like feeling trapped, having the cat sitting on his chest while he's doing bench presses.

I have 3 cats...2 persians and a balinese mix who I rescued when he was 6 weeks old.  I was never allergic to cats growing up but I am now...but they are my babies.  Sometimes all 3 cats sleep in the bed.  Muffins, my 8 year old persian sleeps on my pillow next to my head.  I sleep better with her there because I'm so used to it.

This is the "Hey, you... can I come up?" face..

This is how I find her when I get out of the shower in the mornings.

It's my exe's fault really, she started it.

This is how she slept under my desk when she was a puppy and I could get away with taking her to work.

After bark in the park.

And she loves being on boats.

On a different note, my parents are considering getting another dog to keep inside. Nothing much taller than eighteen inches. Of course, the first thing to do is go to a shelter and see what they have, but still, does anyone have any thoughts on a good breed to look into?
