I know what you mean; if he said Danny was a meddling fool then he wouldn't have a job.  Of course he has made his bed and need to lay in it.  They just want to antagonize in hoped of getting a good sound bite.

A lot of the press have drunk the koolaid in the past when Allen was hired or when Gruden was hired or when Shanahan was hired, etc.

Yep, now they all wanna pretend they have it figured out.    Part of the problem is the slobbering media in this town.

Nope because Snyder would simply hire another ass kisser. Snyder is the problem and as long as he is involved the team will suck.

Did you listen to it? None of the reporters were asking stupid questions.

George Allen sounded like an idiot. For instance, he said things about how well the charitable organization was performing, and how they need to translate that to performance on the field. They all sounded smarter than him - and they weren't asking football questions, they were just trying to get past Allen's bullcrap.

I wasn't trying to pick you out.   I was responding to the post(s) generally.    They were gonna rip Allen no matter what he said because they all think they're smarter than he is.    I'd love for him to get up there and tell the real truth.

Something like, "Look, Paulsen.    What do you really know about anything besides the buffet?    You read a lot.   You covered the 'skins for a few years for an all sports talk, non-descript, low-rated show and your partner is a stand-up comedian by trade.    C'mon Grant.    Get real."

Why would I listen to it?    You knew what you were gettin' when you turned it on.    I heard one question from Paulsen relating to the 'skins in his lifetime.    He's 26.    C'mon.    They were never going to get past the BS.    He's a pro.

Seemed more like utter cluelessness than BS.

26 years is a long time for a team to suck.

He'd come in on Redskins One if he were here to interview.

Rex Ryan is interviewing for the 49ers and Falcons job. He wouldn't be here to interview for a DC position when he has those jobs on the horizon (unless he is here to interview early for next year when Gruden is fired).

He's a big part of it.

He may be part of the problem but only because he is miscast. He is just Snyder's latest version of Vinny Cerrato. In a couple of years he will get canned just like Cerrato and Snyder will have another "scapegoat" (in his mind) and he will go out and get himself another sock puppet to stroke his tiny cock and let him think he knows what the freak he's doing. You know the saying about doing the same things over and over and expecting different results, that doesn't apply here because Snyder is doing the same things over and over and is getting the results he wants, i.e., making money. As far as he's concerned there's no need to relinquish control while he's making money. As long as he's making money he might as well continue "having fun".

There is literally no way for Snyder to not make money right now.

Doesn't that only apply to head coaches or does that go for assistants as well?

The Rooney Rule requires NFL teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operation jobs.

I meant that as a courtesy to someone who's already employed, not the Rooney rule even if it applies.    You can do better regardless of the reason for the interview.

After what happened in Tampa I think it would be best to get rid of that dude or he will be in Snyder's ears about Gruden to get him fired and take over the head coaching job.
