What did they say about it? All I saw was a tweet. We're in Viera so I can't watch the news to hear anything.

Edited to add: Found this on Channel 4's app: http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Washington-Nationals-Propose-Costly-Roof-For-Ballpark-233519231.html

I'm hoping the roof is really a giant concentrating mirror that will deflect concentrated sun rays on various buildings within the sightline of the park.

I would say the line, but SF or Spider really should be the ones to do so.

What kind of freaking roof would be built? The stadium is so damn open in the OF I can't possibly picture what it'd look like. And $300 million for a roof...holy freak

Here's a link to a tweet with a rendering. It'd be a retractable roof. Gray apparently already said "no."

That looks dumb as hell, partially because they just threw the roof from Safeco onto the stadium. I'd need to see an official rendering, however I highly doubt this ever comes to fruition.

I'm thinking they could make it arch-shaped, like the Woodrow Wilson bridge and other riverside architecture, then paint it National Airport yellow and have McDonalds pay for it.

The only thing worse than retractable roof baseball stadiums is a crappy dome like Tampa has.

There is NOTHING good about retractable roof stadiums. They all blow.
