There are worse things than hanging in the Porch on a wet Wednesday night.  I'm off

Stras better not get rocked again by the Marlins.

Stanton owns him.

...especially since the attendance isn't going to be all that robust (last night was our third smallest announced attendance of the season), so crowding shouldn't be that much of a problem.

I really hate to be negative and I hope I'm wrong here but this is the type of game we've lost a lot this season.  Prohibitive favorites against an inferior team.  Lets see how they do tonight, assuming there is a game.

The "crowd" makes it look like they are playing in Miami...

Instead of the dolphins, etc. in center, we have JCA, blue, etc. in the Loft.    :)

That was ballsy by Span. I didn't think he'd make it.

I wish I could watch it... FWIW, I've found that Cumberland does now carry Nats games on the radio. AM 1230 ESPN Radio.

What the hell is up with Verlander?

All I can guess, and hope, is he really lost focus and concentration after signing that insane $181M/$200+M contract.  He is a very professional ball player who will get it together, if not this October, in the offseason.

I could be mindfacting here but I think a decent number of players have down years after signing such an incredible contract.  Kind of hard not to, I would guess.

Harper's timing seems a bit better with his new batting stance.

I like him.   I hope he figures it out at least until the WS.   :)
