It's a miracle how a guy can throw a complete game, hit a batter and throw three wild pitches to be tossed in the second inning in the next game and then toss (possibly) another complete game.   Funny how that works out.   :)

No it doesn't. It does no such thing so stop it. This team had a 98 win season and had shown the ability to play well. There was reason to believe this team could turn it around. Just because you have no capacity for optimism because someone disappointed you as a child does not make those with hope idiots. It just means you are too afraid to be disappointed and hurt again so you set expectations at zero. Sack up dude. We've all been disappointed at one point or another.

They won 98 games last season because they won consistently from the start all the way to the end. This team was incapable of that and it was obvious to anyone who didn't have their head up their ass dreaming of unicorns and rainbows.
