one of the best played games this year.

Just got back to Richmond...

Not sure it was the best played, but after the second inning, it certainly was one of the most enjoyable.  Jayson is really hitting well and his supporting cast came thru...

From where I sat, 219 along the first base line, it looked like Utley could have gotten Bryce's drag bunt had he dove.  That would have doubled Zim up, and Jayson would not have come to the plate to hit that 2 run dinger...

Game of inches indeed...

Looked like that on the broadcast too.    It appeared he thought he was gonna turn a double play.    He probably could have if he would have caught the ball.     Looks like it hit within a half body length.

so what you are saying is the bunt was either meaningless, because the run scores on the homer, or almost a disaster, because Harper can't bunt well?

I didn't mind the bunt there.  Late, 1 run is meaningful (ties game), and Harper has problems with lefties.

:hang: if that had been when we were down by >1 run or in the first 5 innings.
