That is a lower OPS than he had this year. Would hope his OBP is in the .390 range is he bats .300

I would be tremendously disappointed with a .350 OBP

Adam Laroche? 265/345 20 homers/80 rbis? With the added weight and the surgery he had on his wrist I expect Adam to have a solid bounce back year.

It was his elbow and whatever you are on, I want a hit of it.

Seriously you guys dont think he will have a bounce back season? 9 out of his last 10 seasons dude has hit 20+ hr and 8/10 seasons has had 80+ rbis. He was going through something last year maybe his wrist was killing him and they didnt want to go public (he had surgery on his wrist, strasburg had elbow surgery). But for some odd reason I think he will be fine for us next year.

Looks like Bourjous and/or Trumbo might be available.

This is what Daniel Snyder would do to a MLB franchise. freaking ruin it.

Pretty much. Bourjos and Trumbo are cheap and relatively productive for what they are. They already traded Segura. Bourjos is nice, but we don't need him anymore. Trumbo is . . . well, he's Adam Dunn without the walks. Realistically, I think Tyler Moore could match him or come close (25 homers) and be indistinguishable from Trumbo. Bourjos hasn't shown the ability to hit for power like he did in 2011. He doesn't work walk and he strikes out a lot. We have him already in Eury Perez.

They're looking for a quality starting pitcher to pair with Weaver. Frankly, I don't see any prospect they have that is worth Zimmermann. I mean, if I had no faith in Laroche at all, maybe I consider Trumbo, Sappington, and Cron, but honestly, that seems like selling low to me. Just don't see any reason to deal with the Angels unless they want someone like Detwiler or Espinosa.

We'll have three .300 hitters on the team next year, Harper, Werth and the player with the sweetest swing on the roster, Anthony Rendon will grin his way over .300.

He bounced back from shoulder surgery to have his career year in 2012. It's very possible he could put up his career norms.

As an advocate earlier in the season for Ells, I ask now why?  Denard is going to start, and after a strong second half, he has earned the right to start everyday and hit leadoff.  Adding Ells would just add a better Denard Span, and this team needs more of a middle of the lineup threat to replace the true bane on the offense, Adam LaRoche.

Where would Ellsbury play?  First base would be the only option but there's LaRoche.

Basically what was said going into 2012, too.  Not going to argue it's likely, but it is possible.

He'd be a huge upgrade over Span IMO. More power, better base stealer, better hitter, and he's great in the field. If he can find half of his pop from 2011 that'd be a big time move. It won't happen, but I'd like it to.
