I used to listen to the Mets's pitchers dad and uncles back in the 70s.  They had a rock group - the Bees.

Making your debut in NY in a day game. Talk about being thrown to the wolves

The only question is whether he'll pitch a perfect game or have to settle for the no-no.

There will probably be more people at his last Harrisburg start than at Citi Field today.

Taylor Jordan RHP MLB debut
2013 A-AA
W-L 9-1
ERA 1.00
WHIP 0.92
SO 72
IP 90.1

I wondered why they didn't start Ross Ohlendorf after he did so well.  Rizzo must have concluded that Taylor Jordan might be For Real, which may affect whether Rizzo makes a trade to replace Dan Haren.

If they let awful ass Gee own us again I will vomit. He got rocked in his last start. Should be like facing Jason Bergmann after facing Harvey.

Why do Mets pitchers use all their pitches early? They don't save anything

Werth always chases that pitch. He can't stay back. Bum.

Not the worst first inning. Got him up to 20 pitches. We need to keep getting in to the Mets bullpen

We need runs to support Taylor. Can't expect him to be perfect today

Is it my imagination or did Werth swing at 7 pitches significantly out of the strike zone ?  A walk would have been fine

Unfortunately a guy making his first start isn't going to get that inside call.

Charlie said Taylor Jordan was giving LaRoche a pat on the back rather than vice versa at the start of the inning.
