Howard had homered just once in his previous 130 plate appearances before that homer in the second.

It's 1-1.  Relax.
One of the differences I've noticed between Haren's really good starts and really bad starts is where he is in the zone.  When he's low he's been consistently money.  When he's high he's consistently gotten knocked around.  I think he's struggling with his release point more than being affected by past injuries.

Given his numbers, I'm more inclined to think it's stamina.

No. His stamina is fine. Just can't hit his spots. Doesn't have the stuff to get away pitches down the middle. Very little speed differential between all of his pitches (cutter, splitter, fastball, etc) makes it easy on hitters too.

Yeah that may play a part in him losing his release point though.  I'd like to see a split of his numbers in the top half of the zone versus the bottom half.

A bleeder through the infield is "teeing off."

This needs to be his last start. Fake injury to the DL.

I really wish he'd fix his throwing issues because he is a BALLZ OUT 3B.

This probably belongs in the dumb questions thread, but I assume he has to keep a foot on the top of the stairs there?  Not allowed to walk into the dugout to catch it?  What is the rule exactly?

Rendon-Zim-Werth vs. Lannan.  This should be good.  Werth career against Lannan - 8/24, 4 homers, 6 RBI, 4 BB, 6K

Has to have both feet outside of the dugout.

I believe that "in the judgement of the umpire" the player has to have a part of his body in the field of play when making contact with the ball.
