I have no doubt that Espinosa would have been a kick ass Marine. Even would have had a terminal lance haircut and shave
What is a "terminal lance" hair cut?

Ray the Usher that hooked it up with the seats you will see in the pics below.

I think it's fair to say that I've added another Nats fan to the group. It's almost like a pre-requisite to date me at this point.

She met Espi on Sunday, but Desmond is her favorite now LOL

Where we watched the first couple innings from

Hung out with Gio's dad for a bit and talked some baseball. It was pretty cool.

I ran into a gentleman that lives around Baltimore but is a Nationals fan who was in town on business. We talked about the importance of staying positive so I gave him one of my Team Not Miserable cards that I made on friday.

I had given my “season” tickets to friends of mine as a wedding gift so they could go to their first game as a married couple. Home depot had a deal where if you spent $100 dollars they would give you two tickets for any Sun-Thurs day game. Well my friends had finally made their way into the park from their tailgate so I went up to their seats to go meet them. This is the view from where my plan seats are. I’ve been to a few games using these tickets but still had yet to actually see them (I’m usually down behind the Nationals Dugout)

After an inning up there, we went to go get another beer and I asked them if they wanted to move down to field level. They said yeah, so we headed down. We were there for a few innings when the usher was like "Excuse me sir...." and I thought "Crap, she's gonna ask us for our tickets but she ended up just wanting to offer to take our picture for us.

All in all, it was another fun trip to the ball park. I was able to talk to a few players that I haven’t met before like Span. We talked about DC traffic and the importance of knowing all the ins, outs and short cuts to try and get around the DMV area as efficiently as possible.

The picture I posted of Chad Tracy handing the baseball to the fan actually has an interesting backstory. The lady he is handing it to has some sort of mental disability but she loves baseball, the Nationals and collecting baseballs. All the players and coaches seem to remember her over the years from when she lived in New York but has since moved to Atlanta. They would all come up and say hi and sign different things for her. Chad ended up walking over to the bag of warm up balls to grab one for her and had to damn near climb over the tractor to hand it to her because she said she couldn’t catch well. Jordan Zimmermann tossed one to me, but it was just out of my reach and some stupid Barves fan behind me caught it.

Other random notes:

The Goose Island Beer cart doesn’t unplug it’s taps from the Kegs after the games and there is no one around…. Just go ahead and fill up your beers. I filled up three souveineer cups after the game.

When Barves fans talk crap, bringing up the infield fly rule still cuts as deep as it did the day after the Wild Card game.

We were up in the Wells Fargo Suite for an inning or two, and while the experience of saying you were in there was nice, for watching a game I’d MUCH rather be in the seats. I didn’t mind the fridge full of beer though. I made sure to throw a few in my back pack on the way back down.

Keep the posts coming. Looks like quite a pretty lady you got there. My wife will be in Atlanta in June I think for for a 31 Conference at the Georgia Dome. I was hoping to go but won't be able to. Perhaps I'll have her look you up for a game. No shenanigans

So on Sunday I headed to the "Father's Day Game" subscribing to the whole "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" philosophy, this was my attire.

I found this concession stand's choice of names kinda funny

We sat in our seats for a bit, but tired of the view

So we moved down

And I bought a snow cone and put vodka in it

But that absolute coolest thing was that I caught a foul ball  on Father's Day so I was able to give it to my stepdad as part of his Father's Day present. He's never gotten a big league ball before and is a HUGE baseball fan.
