And it begins anew. After the Cubs series last week when we started winning again, the fact that the Nats winning meant there weren't a thousand new threads a day bemoaning the apocalypse made me happier than the team actually winning the games.

Folks, we have enough threads as is that any complaints or panicking can easily fit in existing ones and yet remain on-topic. Save the Mods some time merging and cleaning up, save the masses the headache of reading through a billion and one "This Team Sucks!" topics, and save yourself the mocking and contempt.

Time to shut the bunker doors nice and tight 'til we win against the Giants tomorrow night. Gonna be a long 29 hours on WNFF.

That's it, then.  This thread FORUM is not a place for discussion.  No one else post.

At least half of us posted with the expectation the original new thread would be deleted. Now that it's been moved along with our replies, our posts are the ones cluttering discussion of baseball. But somehow, someway, some of these newer posters need a plainly visible message stating that creating threads just to nag and moan about everything under the sun after every single bad loss is counterproductive.

At this point, should this keep up, I'd be in favor of locking new topic creation in the Clubhouse (And only the Clubhouse) for members with at least so many (300, 500, 1k) posts and/or registered for so long (1-2years?). Hopefully this level of absurdity will cease soon enough on its own, one way or the other (We run away with the division or folks get tired of making new threads every day/they start to realize or learn this crap isn't kosher), but if it doesn't...

Some of that makes sense. Personally I don't start many threads.

But I was just ripping JCA for being decidedly biased in the way he profiles who to reprimand.

People come on to start threads about going to specific games,  showing artwork,  or asking questions,  no need to eliminate that

On to the Giants, whose starters - coming in to today - have given up nearly 40 runs in 5 games and have a collective ERA of over 10 during that stretch.  It's been an awful road trip for them.  I fully expect our offense to lay another egg.

why are the moderbroskis hating on a playa? im about as big of a nats fan as anyone here, and throughly enjoy channeling my inner broski positivity wherever life takes me. But enough is enough, I say if we have Espinosa still starting next homestand and he continues being himself, we need to take matters into our own hands. Might even consider streaking and pantsing Dannyboy to get my point across.

Deep thoughts from me at too way early in the morning.

their offense has been pretty good though, they are the mirror image of us.

Oh well, at least our team gets to play in some nice ballparks this week.

I'm so tired of the left coast road trip.  I need to get to bed at normal times again.

Your aiming your hate at the wrong person. Davey and Mike make lineup decisions. It's Danny's job to play every chance he gets. Your going out and making a scene won't help Espinosa make contact.

This is a bad baseball team. Enough said. There is nothing to debate. They suck. All you positive people can go jump off a freaking bridge.

Spidey - There was another post along this line saying that people defending ("apologists") the team should not post.  So I said, fine, don't post if you are saying anything positive.

This is a rant thread, which is why I merged another thread in here.  No different content.

I'm always willing to explain what I do. To anyone.

Three game calm before the storm, sure would be nice to win a couple in the middle of the night, but the games that really matter are this weekend and next week.

I keep thinking the Nats arent this bad, but they keep lurking around .500. This division sure is weak this year with only 2 teams playing winning baseball, although that might change very soon.

Schedule flips after June 2.  Keep holding on until then and the Nats will be in great shape.

Maybe, a lot can happen still this season. We still have Beachy coming back who was arguably our best pitcher last season until he had TJ. But we also lost our 2 best lefties in the pen, which really sucks because those guys were lights out. The thing i love about this season is how Schafer has out played BJ Upton hands down and is making a fraction of the salary. But as the old saying goes, you cant leave $15mil on the bench, even if its hurting your team.

Not really worried about what the braves do or don't have coming up.  Barring injuries to the top 3 in the rotation, if the Nats are around .500 after that series, they'll be in great shape.

Heading into the year,  it looked like the Nats had some depth,  it turns out they have almost none.

This team won't even come close to making the playoffs. What a joke.
