while I'm sure a number of people have thoughts, they won't likely get posted due to who's asking.

I feel like I heard two weeks recently but I can't remember for sure.  I'll try to find something concrete.

Yeah I agree.  He's the one we tend to pass over with Harper being out but getting Ramos back will be huge.  It may not be long before this is our everyday lineup:

Span
Rendon
Harper
Zimmerman
LaRoche
Werth
Desmond
Ramos
Pitcher

That really is a great looking lineup.  Doesn't have the righty/lefty balance we had earlier in the season with Espinosa but it's still very good.

To me, almost any lineup with #34 in it seems like a winner right now.  It might all be fools gold and he might not inspire this team to anything besides continued mediocrity.  Who knows, but I'd sure like to find out.

do you prefer espinosa in the line up? righty/lefty balance or not. espinosa is a disaster

I actually really don't understand everyone considering Espinosa to be such a bad player.  If he was hitting .150 and nothing was wrong with him that would be one thing but we know he has the chipped bone and (I think more importantly) the torn rotator cuff.  It was obvious to me from the start that Danny just simply wasn't healthy.  He's always going to be a high K, .230 kinda guy but the power was gone and the average was virtually nonexistent.  If you think about hitting for a second, it makes a lot of sense that having a torn rotator cuff would kill you on outside pitches and really hurt your ability to hit for power.  I think Espinosa, when healthy, is still the same guy.  He's just clearly not healthy right now at all.  All of that being said, I don't want him in the lineup not because I don't think a healthy Espinosa is a good, productive player to have but because I just couldn't justify sitting Rendon.

That's what I would like to know.  I think he is the one who doesn't want to have the surgery but at this point it should be obvious that he really needs it.

Someone else suggested it but I think it is a possible answer: he is afraid to go under the knife.  What other reason could he have?  He is about to drop below .100

I wonder if Werth will be back in the line-up today, the flu can knock you out for a solid week, of course flu-like symptoms are usually treated with two Advil, some water, and about six extra hours of sleep.  With Haren on the bench today I suspect that Werth is feeling a whole lot better.

Yeah something tells me that sick feeling Werth got right before the game wasn't the flu...  He saw the Rockies in their batting practice jerseys and he was like, "Yup, that's what today is for them.  I'm not feeling so good..."

Not quite, I'd put my money on Werth seeing after the game on Friday that Haren was starting at noon on a hot day and started drinking heavily, considering the offensive performance I'd bet that half the team was hung over yesterday.

Looks like it was just a hangover, Werth is back in the lineup today.

Scratch that, apparently Werth thinks he's got a chance to play on Tuesday

Honestly, if he is going back to the DL, they'll wait till they are able to determine if Bryce comes back for the Mets series or not.

Anyone want to bet on how this plays out,  I'm guessing he misses a week,  Davey uses him to pinch hit,  then the dl

I'll play. He gets put on the DL when Harper is ready to get back.
