So he is back to normal already.  Oh just 1 K?

Davey would bench Babe Ruth if it meant starting Espinosa.

No. If anything, they send Kobernus down and push Lombo to the emergency utility / PH spot. No idea what they're doing with Connie Marrero's great great grandson.

#Nats activate Stephen Strasburg off DL and option LHP Xavier Cedeno to Syracuse.

Rendon is unbenchable at this point.  If I were the Nats I would use the fact that Rendon has proven he's major league ready to get Espinosa the surgery he needs on the rotator cuff.  For all the hate Espinosa gets on these boards we forget that his poor performance this year can be chalked up to the fact that the rotator cuff is literally torn off the bone.  And frankly, who COULD hit well with that kind of injury?  Frankly it's admirable that he was hitting at all.  He could still be a productive player in this league and a great trade chip once his health is reestablished but he has to get healthy first.

Anyone who doesn't thinkthis is a possibility hasn't been paying attention to the horrible decisions Davey/Rizzo have been making all year

I think this is entirely too cynical a train of thought at this point.  If Rendon stops hitting then it's a possibility but as things stand now Rendon is unbenchable and Davey knows that.

Turn the swear censor on then. Or block the site.

Seriously though, Span has been awful that last week  or two. He needs the time off. Kobernus can play CF if needed. Who knows, maybe he'll get on base. He certainly can't do any worse than Span has done the last two  series.

Need to get healthy when Bryce is back. Then we can go on a tear. Until then, hold her steady at .500

agreed, 0-16 since the start of the CO series, but he was 8-22 in the 4 games before that, i'm guessing he's hurting.

Kobernus shouldn't be sent down for Espinosa.  Keep Espinosa in Syracuse for the rest of his days as a National and let him think about what he's done.

I don't think the Nats can do that.  I think they had 21 days from us first game in Cuse to bring him back up to the show or place him on waivers.  I think those are facts.  Gonna be interesting.

I'm not really sure if they have any remaining options on him.

The Nats are 4-0 in games Kobernus starts.  Now, why wouldn't a manager look at this and decide to keep that guy starting on a team struggling this much.  Just makes no sense.

The Nationals are something like 14-7 the days that he calls the Sports Junkies radio show.  He should just call them every day...

Silly stats are silly...

One player can't make the difference between a .500 ball club and a playoff contender, in my honest and humble opinion.
