Strasburg will not make his scheduled start Thursday.  He will throw bullpen session today and might start Saturday.  If he doesn't go Saturday it could be a very bad sign.

Not really.  It would just mean they pushed his start back again.  For the next week and a half, the only days that a 5th starter are needed are the 8th and the 15th.

According to Rizzo: Harper is doing some baseball related activities. Did a couple rounds of BP.

That means he is hanging with some Baseball Annies, chewing sunflower seeds, and giving Rendon a hot foot.

Detwiler's done with what looked like roughly 2 simulated innings in bullpen. Still no sign of Strasburg, who was scheduled to throw today.

crap, Stras was supposed to throw at 3 PM EDT today. :(

Er, maybe not. Strasburg went to bullpen but left without throwing.

Strasburg to the DL. Eligible to return June 16.

This is smart.

#Nats Johnson says Strasburg is going on 15-day DL, can come off the 15th, no corresponding move yet, will decide next day or two

Strasburg is playing catch now. His lat strain won't allow him to pitch off a mound. Davey expects him to make one rehab start and return.

I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't unwind like Davey stated.  He hinted at Bryce's return for quite a while before he went on the DL.  I just hope Stras is fully ready to come back when he does and that it isn't months from now.

Remember this post I made from talking to Espi on Friday?

Espinosa was signing baseballs and I asked "Danny, how's the wrist feeling?" and he kinda laughed and said "It's freaking broken man, how do you think it feels?"

Update on Wilson Ramos, please.

Resuming baseball activities at extended spring training in Viero starting today.  Plan is to spend a week there, then head to a rehab assignment if all goes well.

Potomac could be really fun to watch over the next few weeks, maybe we get a game with Strasburg pitching to Ramos with Harper in RF.

When I was in Vegas I got to see a 51's game with Nomar G, Andrew Jones and Matt Kemp.  Great times to be in a AAA location.

Detwiler set to pitch Saturday at Potomac, I guess weather permitting.

if you've never been to a saturday night game at potomac, go, the fireworks show is really good.

we went to Strasburg's last TJ rehab start at Harrisburg, pudge caught but Harper was out with a pulled hamstring.

Zuck tweets that Espinosa got a cortisone shot in his wrist, will resume baseball activities in 4-5 days.
