Werth back could be huge. He'll struggle at first but he'll take a lot ofnpitches. And for whatever reason, Harper seems more comfortable when hitting behind Werth

Im still waiting for someone to explain to me how a few days off fixes fracture (bone chipped) wrist?  Maybe its the same doctor that told him a rotator cuff tear could be fixed without surgery

Can't wait to get the full lineup back (without Espinosa) (and I guess without Ramos - Zuk has been fine)

Comak with lots of updates:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/nationals-watch/2013/may/28/injury-updates-bryce-harper-danny-espinosa-jayson-/

Not pretty, here's the highlights:
- Harper probably out until the weekend - Davey says he was being too optimistic thinking that Harper would DH in Baltimore
- Espinosa on track to return Wednesday, went through hitting/fielding drills without any problems (insert your own joke here)
- Detwiler on track to make his next start, had no issues in workouts today
- Werth taking full BP, doing some light running, seems to sound like he hopes to be back for the Atlanta series

How is that not pretty, other than Harper and Ramos, that looks good.

As great as Suzuki has been, Ramos is a potential all-star.

Won't matter really when we get healthy if Davey start Espinosa.  Cancels it out almost.

If Espi starts over Lombo, it's truly a shame.  Lombo isn't Robinson Cano, but he's earned the job.

Lombo made some slick plays last night, and also contributed at the plate. Something Espinosa hasn't done in a game really all year.

hopefully Werth's rehab goes better this time around.  amazing to think that friday night we could have both Werth AND Harper back.

it's a shame there are still some in the FO that think Espy is an everyday MLB regular.  pathetic.

Praying that his wrist heals, but that Davey sees the light. A bad wrist doesn't mean Davey holds him out, and it's a dick move to hope for injury.

Praying for a set-back with Espinosa's wrist.

 Mark Zuckerman @ZuckermanCSN

Speculating here, but a Harper/Werth DL swap on Tuesday certainly sounds like a decent possibility.

Why the freak didn't we DL him the day he crashed into that wall? This whole organization is filled with incompetent freakheads.

Christian Garcia's first outing back not a good one. Blew the save in the 9th and took the loss for the AA Senators.

you can back date the start of his DL period to his last game played.  At the time, they thought he might be ready in less than 15 days, and he is the best offensive player the team has.

Strained oblique is pretty good news compared to something shoulder/elbow related.

True, but that only takes us to Sunday. And besides the sole win we got in SF, Harper has been pretty bad at the plate albeit he is taking his walks. Obviously this is all in hindsight, but it would've been the better decision to DL him after that game in LA.

Now, will Detwiler be back by the 8th?  That will be the first day we need a 5th starter because of Monday's off day.  If not, we'll have to go back to our very thin high minors for another pitcher or Duke.  The game on the 8th is against the Twins, no exactly a powerhouse so that will help.  From the way Davey was talking today about him, he might want to give Stammen a start.

There's another off day on the 10th so if Detwiler isn't ready on the 8th, maybe he can be ready on the 15th, the next we'd need a 5th starter.
